Governor Lynch has decided that seriously ill patients should not be protected from arrest in New Hampshire if their doctors recommend marijuana. His veto is a tremendous disappointment, but the legislature can still vote to override the Governor's veto, and we only need to convince two more state senators and maintain our margin of victory in the House in order to receive the 2/3 majorities that would be necessary for a veto override. (The House vote was 232-108, or 68%, and the Senate vote was 14-10). This final vote has been scheduled for Oct. 28, so the time is now to make a fresh pitch to legislators.

I had no idea rats were so social! I was dropping the Urchin off to have a play date with the neighbors today, and they got two cow rats over the winter. They were so friendly! They really wanted attention from us. OH NO! now the Urchin is going to ask for a new pet!

No shit, there I was... lying in bed with the most hideous cramps I've had since I was a teenager; I mean the kind that rival labor pains kind'a teenager; and I find myself needing to take a little Valerian root and some other herbal remedies to try and ease the tension. I lay in bed on a heating pad set to OMG can't this thing get any hotter? and start comtemplating... {What if they could embed a code into a 'ping'?}... and then I thought... {Wait! Is that wat a cookie is? Hey, I think I may have just invented cookies!}

Ok ok, I know I have not been keeping up with posting, but believe me, I will; but this just had to be told...
So, I am tucking the Urchin into bed, told her a story and sang her some songs. All the while she is farting every two minutes and giggling. Finally I stop and say "wow, you are just a little fart tonight", she pouts and says, "no I'm not!" *very serious and stern look* "I'm a fartess!" *huge grin*

Had a decent holiday with the Urchin, although, I finally caught the cold that was going around at work. Gee, just in time for my vacation, BLAH. But, the fat man came and left some fun things. Having a little shindig at the Farm for New Years Eve. I got a boy from Florida for the whole week *beems*... Made a deal with him though, I have to send him back at the end of my vacation. One of those, can't keeps presents... its ok, i will have fun while he is here. Yay vacations!

Halloween Party 10/31 -At the Farm
Ok, having a holloweeny party at the farm. Friday the 31st. Not really a kid safe event, so the urchin will go stay with her Daddy. A few rules: 1/leave the drama at the bottom of the hill, pick it up on your way out of town, we don't need your drama cluttering up our little town. 2/never steel the pink bunnies lighter, it will just piss her off and then she will follow you around all night with her oogly eyes taunting you. 3/shit, i forgot what number 3 is.... (note: as always, rules are subject to change at any given moment)
Anyway, byob and food if you want to contribute to the barfe' and please let us know if you are planning on spending the night. We have logistics to work out so that everyone is "comfortable"

11:44 pm - So it was pointed out to me....
That I have not posted in quite awhile. and I guess I have been pretty busy. Three months on the new job and I seem to be ahead of the curve. I have learned that I am not made of steel and can't work every waking moment, nor make every moment an awake one when I don't have the child. I had a bad cold for two weeks and just as I am getting to the end of that, I catch a hell of a flu. The kind of flu that I haven't had in years and hope I don't ever have again. And it makes me have an, "ok, its time to listen to the universe when it talks to you" moment. I will take that as a shot across the bow, and turn it down a little bit before I totally burn out this only body I have. Not to mention, I really need to be focused on the Urchin now that she has been diagnosed with AS. ... Wow, I just opened my email and received 32 messages. I don't know if I have opened my mail in three weeks. Well, guess I should dive in... more to come soonish...
